Remembered Today:

Sam Browne Sword Frog

I just recently bought this sword frog and was wondering if anybody could tell me anything about it. The other frogs I have look pretty much the same as the top frog in the 2nd picture.

The new one seems to have the 2 belts as 1 piece instead of 2 pieces sewn to the back and the buckle fixtures are noticebly different. The slits on the straps are also very similar to my Sam Browne belt (they didn't come together). There doesn't seem to be any stamps/markings on it. It is also quite a bit larger and doesn't fit snugly onto my Infantry Officers Sword so I wonder what sword it would be used for.

Thanks in advance for any information and interest.
