AnswerseekerWWI Posted 23 February , 2023 Share Posted 23 February , 2023 I found a German book in my grandfather's WWI trunk titled "Kriegstarten." it contains 5 folded maps in good condition. Text at the bottom of the cover reads "Gea Verlag G.m.v.h.Berlin W35" I can't find it online. Does anyone know the value or anything about it? I assume it's a pocket map although it has a hard covr. Size = 5" x 7.5"

AnswerseekerWWI Posted 23 February , 2023 Author Share Posted 23 February , 2023 Thanks. I guess "17,80" Euros is around $18 US. Looks like only 1 map remaining on theirs. Perhaps mine is worth more with all 5 maps intact. charlie2 Posted 24 February , 2023 Share Posted 24 February , 2023 A further search reveals 1915-16-17-18 editions, which should have different amounts of maps. https://www.booklooker.de/Bücher/Angebote/verlag=Gea&titel=Kriegskarten They are a mixture of private and dealer sales. The asking prices vary widely, some of which would appear to be in the fantasy league.
