Hi all,

I am looking for a photo of a brother of Clifford Sadlier (VC).

There is no photo in his digitised war service records online.

Details are as follows:

Lieutenant Thomas Edward Reginald SADLIER (enlisted as a Quartermaster in 1914)

reg. No. 77 company

5th / 6th / 65th / 69th Battalion AIF, 3rd LH Regiment (A Squad), 1st LH Brigade

Next of Kin - Edna M Sadlier

served in Gallipoli, hospitalised in Malta, went back back to Gallipoli, then hospitalised in Malta again before being transferred to Woolwich - Brook War Hospital.

He returned to Australia in 1918, “per Field Marshall list”.

He was awarded a 1914/15 star, and the British War Medal and Victory Medal.

He was also an Australian Rules footballer in Melbourne, in Adelaide and in country South Australia. (See attached). He is buried in Centennial Park cemetery in Adelaide.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much Busterfield! As a result of your post I have managed to track down the My Heritage tree “owner” and spoke to him on the phone this morning and he is going to send me the picture(s) of Tom Sadlier. So, many many thanks!
