Does any one recognize these two crashes says 57 sqn on back

The first photo says 57 sqn on the back

the next photo says Somme 1916  but the tree in the picture looks very neatly cut down (end of the runway )

the last photo are those exhaust  bits leading from the engine

I suspect on the third photo that this is the Chaplain’s private plane and you are in fact looking at his organ pipes (only 2 due to rationing).

Yes exhaust pipes but that is the prototype DH.6, pictured in the UK. The prototype had a rounded rudder whereas production DH.6s didn't have a curve anywhere!

I think Quemerford, that the wheels might have had a bit of a "curve" on them!
