clementinevn Posted 19 February , 2023 Share Posted 19 February , 2023 Hello, I am a French historian specialising in marital relations during the Great War. I am looking for private archives (correspondence, photographic albums or photographs) that tell of or project honeymoons on the battlefields in the aftermath of the war (they may also be sources that evoke trips to the battlefields without being honeymoons). Thank you for your help! Yours sincerely, Clémentine Vidal-Naquet
Admin Michelle Young Posted 19 February , 2023 Admin Share Posted 19 February , 2023 Welcome to the forum. You may want to contact the Henry Williamson Society, as he spent his honeymoon in 1925 visiting the battlefields. https://www.henrywilliamson.co.uk/ Incidentally, I spent my honeymoon in 1988 visiting the battlefields ! clementinevn Posted 19 February , 2023 Author Share Posted 19 February , 2023 Thank you very much for your advice. I have indeed read The Wet Flanders Plain. But I'll have a look at this association, which I didn't know about. Thank you!
