poona guard Posted 13 February , 2023 Share Posted 13 February , 2023 Does anyone have a fully badged TF uniform, any regiment, that they could post photos of showing the battalion badges for use in a book on TF badges.
Grovetown Posted 13 February , 2023 Share Posted 13 February , 2023 One of mine. Also has the battalion sign on the back of the neck. Can take better pix if you pm me an email address. Cheers, GT.
mark holden Posted 14 February , 2023 Share Posted 14 February , 2023 I have an officers cuff rank badged 2/5th Notts and Derby if you are not concerned about rank. Placement of colour and shape of tge badges was universal in the battalion

Dave d.bilton1@btinternet.com No just cloth. The rear sign - bn/ bde - is below. I also have a 1915-ish QVR with black T/9/County of London titles and an unidentified thin green bar on the sleeves (company we presume, unless it's Rangers with the wrong titles on it. But they are a bit narrow for that). Cheers, GT. Edited 14 February , 2023 by Grovetown
poona guard Posted 14 February , 2023 Author Share Posted 14 February , 2023 Excellent photo, thanks. Please can I have a photo of the other badges you mentioned? Do you have any WW1 cloth badges in your collection that I could have copies of? Best, Dave Who do I acknowledge in the book?

poona guard Posted 14 February , 2023 Author Share Posted 14 February , 2023 You did indeed. I am still missing some examples of real badges and photos showing them. Do you have any photos showing the cloth titles apart form the more common ones like the LRB, QWR & QVR? Dave

Ewan D Posted 17 February , 2023 Share Posted 17 February , 2023 Again, not entirely sure how useful this is for your research, but the "battle flashes" for the 56th (1/1st London Territorial) Division as of 2/4/

I'm not too sure about the TNA tag, I found this image on LLT a while back when researching the 56th Div. This is the caption for the image if that's any help '“Battle flashes” worn by men of the battalions of the division. From the National Archives, war diary General Staff of VII Corps, WO95/805. Crown copyright.'
