I have an officers cuff rank badged 2/5th Notts and Derby if you are not concerned about rank. Placement of  colour and shape of tge badges was universal in the battalion

Yes please to both views. Does it have a metal title as well?

Would love to have views showing the collar badges and the back, please. Do you have any others, regardless of rank.

Best,

Dave

No just cloth. The rear sign - bn/ bde - is below.

I also have a 1915-ish QVR with black T/9/County of London titles and an unidentified thin green bar on the sleeves (company we presume, unless it's Rangers with the wrong titles on it. But they are a bit narrow for that).

Cheers,

GT.

Excellent photo, thanks. Please can I have a photo of the other badges you mentioned? Do you have any WW1 cloth badges in your collection that I could have copies of?

Best,

Dave

Who do I acknowledge in the book?

Dave,

I posted my London TF titles in one of your posts some with accompanying battalion patches. I had assumed you already had examples

You did indeed. I am still missing some examples of real badges and photos showing them.  Do you have any photos showing the cloth titles apart form the more common ones like the LRB, QWR & QVR?

Excellent, thanks Mark.  I have the information but am missing a number of photos and badges so any help is greatly appreciated.

You may need to crop or otherwise photo shop my pictures I am sure you don’t want my detritus in the background

2/3rd West Riding Field Ambulance. Attributed. I think he may have served in 1/3rd or a different unit as entitled to a 14/15 star.

These are brilliant Mark. Please could I have a side view to show the badge clearly?

Dave, Mark has given you side views.  Do you mean forum member Trenchtrotter?

Again, not entirely sure how useful this is for your research, but the "battle flashes" for the 56th (1/1st London Territorial) Division as of 2/4/17

Hi Ewan,

Thanks for this excellent image. Could you send it to me by email? What is its tag at TNA? I will definitely include it in the book.

Thanks a lot.

Best,

ave

Yep I can do that, send me your email address and I'll send that over. I'm not too sure about the TNA tag, I found this image on LLT a while back when researching the 56th Div. This is the caption for the image if that's any help

'“Battle flashes” worn by men of the battalions of the division. From the National Archives, war diary General Staff of VII Corps, WO95/805. Crown copyright.'
