I believe they've been mounted wrong [I can see a Victory Medal where a British War Medal should be] Service Date: Feb 5th, 1916 [enlistment?] The AC 1 must be Aircraftman [Class] One.. Ivor Anderson Posted 7 February , 2023 Share Posted 7 February , 2023 (edited) As well as his LG MM entry he is on this RFC/RAF MM list on the BMF: https://britishmedalforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=791750&hilit=white+20827#p791750 One post on that thread says that "most of the RFC and RAF original recommendations have survived at Kew". I'm not sure if that is true. Hopefully! Another post on that thread: "The majority of MM's to RFC were awarded as wireless operators on the ground under shellfire, only a small number were awarded as aircrew."
