George Greenhalgh (born 1880) enlisted in 6th Bn Loyals on 10/11/1914.  He landed at Gallipoli 05/07/1915 and was discharged due to sickness on 12/01/1916. George received a pension from Bronchitis due to service.  He lived at 20 Folds Road, Bolton.

A George Greenhalgh – born 1880 – died at Bolton Infirmary and was buried at Astley Bridge, Bolton on 17/07/1916.  I haven’t confirmed if this is the same man.  The DC would tell us his address and probably Army Pensioner and widow’s name.

Cause of death may be bronchitis although no Dependent’s claim was made and a GG was married to Edith Alice Demaine at St Paul’s in 1911
