I wonder how he obtained what appear to be German sourced cards. The one of the Kaiser with a sort of fires of Hell backdrop gives a distinctly Satanic impression, which seems an odd thing to do. I wonder if his mother proudly displayed them on the mantelpiece? Coming from an art/design background I think the artwork of the second card is fabulous.
