armourersergeant Posted 5 April , 2005 Share Posted 5 April , 2005 I have come across wrong captions on some Generals photos at the IWM. This whilst annoying is totally understandable. It took me some time to notice the difference with some of the same chap in front of me, so how difficult must it have been to catalogue them originally! As Martin says, if the caption that it came with is incorrect who is likely to question it unless of course it is your feild of expertise and you can spot it instantly. regards Arm. jdajd Posted 8 April , 2005 Share Posted 8 April , 2005 Doesn't the man on the left of the pic with the service cap on look like he is just standing staring off to the left? Additionally, the man on the right who might be wearing a steel helmet it is hard to tell which direction he is moving, but to me its seems towards the camera.
