Remembered Today:

WW1 or modern buckle?

I found this buckle in the British artillery positions I searched on Sunday.

Do you think it can match some English buckles?

It could also be something modern.

A path already present at the time of the war passes near the exact place of discovery.

I gave it a light cleaning with a small brass bristle brush.

I will post the exact measurements soon

Hello. Looks like a modern single pronged roller buckle. It doesn't match a British 03 Pattern belt buckle or a Sam Brown buckle. The Soviet's used a roller buckle as attached but your's is a different style.

I have found similar belt buckles, I'd say it's WW1.

These two were found in a Coastal Artillery Defence Fort.image.png.3e62d0a49258f1dbc6fd1be4577d0579.png
