Paul Reed Posted 2 April , 2005 Share Posted 2 April , 2005 It was reported in a recent WFA Bulletin that this memorial to Captain H. Wallace of 10th Worceseters was in a poor state and had been "painted". I have been meaning to post some recent pictures of it, so that it can be seen in fact it is in good condition and has been treated, as opposed to painted. The village of Bazentin has done the work, it seems. paul guthrie Posted 2 April , 2005 Share Posted 2 April , 2005 I saw this fine very Catholic memorial with Paul a few years ago and it was in need of repair so I contacted WFA memorials officer Hillary Wheeler who arranged for some refurbishing, hope to see it again next week when on the Somme.
