Pte John Houghton ‘14566’ 7th S Lancs & '266479' 2/4th E Lancs

John Houghton enlisted in 7th S Lancs on 01/09/1914.  He disembarked in France on 18/07/1915. Severely wounded in 1916, he returned to France with the E Lancs.  He was discharged 17/01/1919, with a pension for GSW to chest and deafness. 

John Houghton died on 11/12/1920, aged 30. He is buried at Hollinwood Cemetery.  The husband of Dorothy Haughton of 273 Ashton Road, Oldham.

Cause of death unknown.

80% diability - pension from 18.1.19 = 22/- pw

Other numbers shown on pension cards 40796 and 203527

Widow's pension claim seems to have become DEAD 1932 [before or on]
