Hi

This is a photo I took several years ago. Taken from the little French Memorial on the road between Ginchy and Flers.

Deville Wood on the left, High Wood in the Middle and I think the NZ Memorial right under the setting sun.

Our very first visit to a WW1 cemetery was to Bancourt.  I'm sorry about the poor quality of the pictures - from an old Sony point-and-shoot camera:

First time post here after quite a long time lurking on this particular section of the Forum ! We had a wonderful week's stay at the Silent Picket last summer (twice delayed due to Covid restrictions) and these photos make me yearn to return as soon as possible. Absolutely lovely and very evocative....
