8055Bell Posted 2 January , 2023 Share Posted 2 January , 2023 John Brooks attested on 17/04/1915 and trained with 3rd Bn from 26/04/1915. He was discharged as unlikely to become efficient on 18/06/1915. John Brooks died on 09/05/1920, aged 40. He is buried at Hollinwood Cemetery. The husband of May Brooks of 76 Manchester Road, Werneth. No connection with service is identified and it would probably be found that John had failed his medical and not ‘fully’ enlisted.
