Harry Chesters had been a time served regular with KORL when he reenlisted in August 1914.  Serving throughout hostilities he disembarked on 01/11/1914 and was transferred to ASC and LC prior to transfer to Reserve on 24/04/1919.  Harry claimed a pension for general debility.

Harry died on 06/10/1919 and was buried at Hollinwood Cemetery, aged 39. The husband of Maria Chesters of 17 Littletown, Chadderton.

Maria was refused a dependents pension suggesting cause of death was unrelated to service.

An Old Contemptible remembered here.
