Remembered Today:

Criteria for House Order of Hohenzollern during WW1

Out of interest, how did the award criteria for Knight grade of The House Order of Hohenzollern (or Ritter des Hausorden von Hohenzollern or Hohenzollernscher Hausorden) evolve for German fighter pilots during the course of WW1, if at all? I ask, as the evolution of criteria for the Pour Le Merite for fighter pilots is well established in many texts. What were the criteria for the The House Order of Hohenzollern in 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917 and 1918?

Thanks

Andy

Hello,

I recommend reading Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany in World War I and the men who earned them, Volume II - The Aviation Awards of the Kingdom of Prussia by Neal O'Connor.
