This is part of the same record. It's very difficult to read but would I be correct in thinking that it says this soldier was transferred to the 17th Royals Scots on the 4th of April allotted new Regt No. 59156. What might the stamped date "8th" refer to?  A large reinforcement joined the 17th Battalion at Hedauville between the 12th and 14th April 1918.

Looks like Joined Bath? (Battalion) 8th April 1918.

Could mean left BD to join Battalion? It would take a couple of days to reach them in the Field?

Joined Battalion. Normally there is a handwritten'in the field' after this but I can't see that. But as Tullybrobe said, that's what happen a few days after posting.

8th April stamp could be when it was signed of course, a few days later.
