A medal, a document? The records for the man I noted above include those on FindmyPast (which should be accessible at Nat Archives?) https://www.findmypast.co.uk/search/results?sid=998&firstname=harvey+charles&firstname_variants=true&lastname=tombs&yearofbirth=1899&yearofbirth_offset=2&keywordsplace_proximity=5&sourcecountry=great+britain This includes RNAS - F49978 ADM 188/641/49978 RAF Airman -249978 AIR 79/2254 RAF Officer record There is also a brief Casualty Form. You will see he didn't make it to France until Oct 1918 and was posted to N Flight. https://www.casualtyforms.org/search?surname=Tombs Here's a link to the records at NA. But only 2 are downloadable. https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=Harvey+charles+tombs&_p=1900&_hb=tna&_d=AIR&_d=ADM&Refine+departments=Refine Edited 21 December , 2022 by charlie962
