Indian motorbike

Came across this photo of a man on an Indian motorbike. The Finnish man in question served in Imperial Russian army 1914-1915 and this pic was taken after that but before the break out of Finnish civil war in 1918. There is also a picture of this man and Indian motorbike from his sevice time so it could be that he somehow brought it with him to Finland after his time in Russian army.

There is a human/humanoid symbol in the gas tank of the bike. Anyone rocognise it? Is it unit insignia or something like that?
