Remembered Today:

Trenches from above (Can you help)?

Good evening,

HI my brother mentioned a book he saw at a Waterstones that he has wanted for ages. It is about the Great War book possibly photography based with lots of photos of trenches from above. Can you help me find it?

I am not knowledgable enough to know if this would be photos after the war had ended, or some type of aerial photography during the conflict.

Thank you in advance!

I’m not sure if it is in print anymore but I think I may have a spare one ( I need to have a good search of the book shelves) edit, I do have two copies.

Me too Michelle. If nothing else I got the chance to find and join thus forum. My Great Grandfather was gassed at Loos and I have a few photos (I have scanned) that show a whole host of the family. Some I know what's happening, many no idea! I shall see if I can get help on here! Thank you!

Please post the photos in the soldiers section, there’s plenty of people who can help. I’m always interested in any Loos posts as well…..

I seem to remember After The Battle also did a book on WW1 trenches but I can not for the life of me remember the title or author, sorry.
