johntaylor Posted 1 December , 2022 Share Posted 1 December , 2022 Thanks Julian - it's also interesting because it's based on a source I wasn't aware of, i.e. holdings of personal documents at the National Archives. In this case they include the wartime letters and diary of Major Guy Warneford Nightingale, who served in Gallipoli and the Western Front with 1st Bn Royal Munster Fusiliers. The reference is here: https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C12017 I had no idea they hold personal papers of this kind at the NA.
