Remembered Today:

Trying to identify unknown (WW1?) aircraft

Hi there,

I'm trying to identify an aircraft a friend recently ran into it and it is being offered for sale.

But I'm actually not sure if it is an actual aircraft or just some clever looking rip off.

The anemometer (early speedometer) is of French origin and the 12 indicates it's an early (perhaps pre-war) type of (French??) aircraft. The engine seems to be a 2 cylinder boxer type (so again perhaps pre-war) but I can not find anything on the name SAGA.

Furthermore it seems to be a monoplane as there are no indications of a connection for wings on the under side of the fuselage.

Anyone an idea?

Thanks

A

Can't help with your queries, but a very interesting "project" - those wing struts look like "shed work" and not original to me (but what do I know).  Is the plan to get it airborne?
