Martindale, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regt. died 9th April 1916, aged 24 15461 Private Alfred Edwards, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, died 3rd Nov. 1915, aged 22 any assistance appreciated. temptage Posted 20 November , 2022 Share Posted 20 November , 2022 Your best chance is to look in newspapers of the day from the area they lived. Many hundreds or even thousands of photos were printed in newspapers. The best dates to look are just after they died or if nothing was printed for either of them, then you will have the long drawn out trawl through newspapers right from the start of the War. Yes, sometimes but not always. My local Library will do 30 free minutes of searching for you. Some others are unlimited, some charge from the first minute.
