If it wasn't me - then to whoever submitted him I'm sorry for appearing to poach your case. BUTTERFIELD https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/75468424/james-butterfield Submitted: 25 Sept. 2021 Accepted: 1 April 2022 [at least by] Commemorated: 15 Nov 2022 [but only after I chased = 416 days] Death by: Pulmonary TB & heart disease Buried: Kilbowie Cemetery, Glasgow [Lair 412, Section E - buried on 24 December 1918 - his death only briefly preceded that of both his widow, Catherine Dempsey Butterfield, and a new-born daughter, Elizabeth, who died shortly after and who were both buried in March 1919 in the same lair. His father-in-law, Timothy Dempsey, was buried in the same lair, in January 1942]. Agreed, commemoration is the essential and currently pleasing result(s) - burial details are a bit of icing on the cake but nice for anyone who might follow us to the CWGC site - here's hoping they are not too tardy and that they keep us advised, especially if they possibly go for a headstone [I wonder if they will for either/both of these chaps???] All the best.
