elewis Posted 14 November , 2022 Share Posted 14 November , 2022 Hi, I have not been on for a long time but have been asked to research a WWI soldier for a good friend who has helped me out when I recently had covid so would like to do so. He transferred unit from the South Lancs to the Labour Corps under Army Council Instruction 1396 of 1917. I think I used to know where to find these various Army Council Instructions, but I can not now. Help what was 1396 please. While asking he went to the 537 (HS) Support Company ... what did the HS stand for please. As a few months later he was discharged as no longer medically fit for service I wonder if that is related. Many thanks for your help in advance.

Not working that one out shows I have not done this type of research for some time and that the old brain cells are not working!. Evan
