Still searching for medals/plaques relating to the names on Maldon Town Memorial. So far I have:

H.C. BOWTELL - BWM and VM

C.G. BURNES - BWM and VM

H.L. HUMPHREYS - BWM and plaque.

C.W. OLD - BWM and VM.

E. PAYNE - plaque.

E.J. WARD - BWM, VM and plaque.

Still a lot more to find. I am only the temporary custodian and hope to find more and eventually leave them to the town.

If you ever come across any others please let me know.

Thank you Forum Pals.

Regards.

Stephen (Maldon).

Stephen,

"E. Hatley" was Edwin Hatley, son of John Hatley and Sarah Basham, and a distant relative of mine (brother of my 2g-grandfather). Born in Maldon, he emigrated to Canada and served in the CEF. You can find him on the Canadian Virtual War Memorial.

Finding his medals will be a big ask. He married but I can't now recall whether there were children.

Thanks - be great if we did.
