he was KIA on the 16 March 1917 born around 1888

Ryan. No luck on newspapers with Find My Past but as I'm sure your aware there are forty three trees on Ancestry recording Edward's life, one of which lists a portrait. Could be worth a message to the owner... I will pm you the owners name. Gunner 87.
