BaldyBob Posted 8 November , 2022 Share Posted 8 November , 2022 Hi all, I have just inherited my great grandfathers (Maternal and Paternal) sets of 1914-15 Star, British war medal and Victory Medal. One set has Rank number and name but the other has just has AB RMA and name. Any ideas as to what MRA is and why no service number? I am guessing AB is able seaman and maybe Royal Marine Artillery. RNCVR Posted 8 November , 2022 Share Posted 8 November , 2022 You certain on naming? AB is an RN rank. If he was RMA (Roya Marine Artillery) he possibly would be GNR = Gunner. Perhaps post photo(s) for us.
