Admin Michelle Young Posted 7 November , 2022 Admin Share Posted 7 November , 2022 In memory of Reginald Claude Moline Gee ‘Rex’ killed in action on this day in 1918. 15th DLI. His brother Rodney served in 9th DLI as adjutant to Boy Bradford and survived the war. When we used to visit him in his care home in later years, he would always serve us a glass of Madeira wine and some bacon Frazzles. Every year on the his birthday (18th August) and on 7th November, we drink a glass of Madeira and eat some frazzles in their memory. Rex is buried at Dourlers cemetery and we have visited him a few times.
Fattyowls Posted 7 November , 2022 Share Posted 7 November , 2022 You can't go wrong with bacon Frazzles; I'm liking the cut of his jib. A lovely story Michelle. Pete.

Admin Michelle Young Posted 8 November , 2022 Author Admin Share Posted 8 November , 2022 Many thanks for the further MC citation. The Colonel as we always called him, was a lovely man. He was a schoolmaster at Clifton College for many years. He maintained that any fool could get a First in Classics from Cambridge.
