CWGC added the following casualties to the WW1 Roll of Honour today.

The following were In From the Cold Project cases and the name of the finding volunteer is in brackets.
All are temporarily commemorated in the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance whilst their grave sites are being verified by CWGC.

Thanks for the update Terry.

Wright Greenwood is one of mine. Post discharge death from Tuberculosis. Grave believed to be in a double plot - 490 & 491 - at St George's Church, Lee Mount.

We shall remember them,

Interesting, I looked at Graham a few years ago but didn't see a case for him. Discharged with bronchitis, tb and emphysema, but DC says he died from cramps.

Entwistle too, looked at him but couldn't find anything useful. Good to see both men now commemorated regardless.

Attested on 10 Dec 1915, B&F from May to Oct 1916, discharged on 26 Jul 1917 following amputation of left leg. He was later employed as a pianist at the Picture Palace in Southport, but developed tb from his wounds and died at Birkdale Sanatorium, age 26. Buried at Southport (Duke Street) Cemetery.

Served at home with the KLR from 23 Oct 1914 to 20 Aug 1915 until discharged as medically unfit. Re-enlisted with the Labour Corps on 12 Feb 1917 and served in France from Jun 1917 to Jun 1918, then discharged a second time on 14 Aug 1918 due to heart disease. Died at Belmont Road Workhouse, Walton, and buried at Southport (Duke Street) Cemetery.
