Maxwell Hutcheon Findlay

Hi all - an ancestor of mine, Maxwell Findlay was a pilot in WWI. I’ve read that he was involved in many aerial battles - are there records that would give more detail of who he shot down, where and more detail of the battle itself? Were pilots required to provide a report after every flight?

I’ve attached his military record if helpful.

Do you know the original source for this data? I've found the Operations reports for 201 squadron but some of the victories aren't discussed there.
