Hello,

My identification is slightly different. Since the original Dujaila Canal can still be easily picked out, it was easy to identify the exact location.

Many thanks emrezman I'm sure your identification will be the correct one. Not what I was looking at which I suppose is interesting enough.

Where would I find that map emrezman?

It comes from a study called "Despatch by Lieutenant-General Sir George Frederick Gorringe, K.C.B, C.M.G, D.S.O., on the Operations of the Tigris Column 23rd January to 30th April 1916." It must be available online.
