Skipman Posted 30 October , 2022 Share Posted 30 October , 2022 Attached Kmz file of what I believe to be the Dujaila Redoubt. Can anyone confirm? There appear to be large craters in the area, would these be more recent? Mike Dujaila Redoubt.kmz
michaeldr Posted 30 October , 2022 Share Posted 30 October , 2022 Mike, this old codger and his tech are not familiar with KMZ - does that file come in any other format?

Skipman Posted 30 October , 2022 Author Share Posted 30 October , 2022 Sorry folks. You must download google earth, you really are missing a most useful tool. I have google earth pro installed and it's free https://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/earth/about/versions/ Attached a few images of where the Kmz file takes you to. emrezmen Posted 30 October , 2022 Share Posted 30 October , 2022 (edited) Hello, My identification is slightly different. Since the original Dujaila Canal can still be easily picked out, it was easy to identify the exact location. Skipman Posted 30 October , 2022 Author Share Posted 30 October , 2022 Many thanks emrezman I'm sure your identification will be the correct one. Not what I was looking at which I suppose is interesting enough. Mike

emrezmen Posted 30 October , 2022 Share Posted 30 October , 2022 It comes from a study called "Despatch by Lieutenant-General Sir George Frederick Gorringe, K.C.B, C.M.G, D.S.O., on the Operations of the Tigris Column 23rd January to 30th April 1916." It must be available online.
