Frajohn Posted 30 March , 2005 Share Posted 30 March , 2005 Hi An Australian Soldier, who I am researching, is stated as being buried in Berlin Wood CCI, 12th November 1917. It gives the following 'Graves Registration' D.10.d.3.4 Sheet 28 I do know that he is now buried in Tyne Cot, but would like to know the site of his original burial and if possible any information on the Berlin Wood CCI Many thanks John

Frajohn Posted 30 March , 2005 Author Share Posted 30 March , 2005 Dave Very many thanks for that information. I will visit next time I am over there. I assume that the CC stands for 'Casualty Clearing' ? but not too sure about the I. The Soldier in question is the only one who had exactly the same name as myself, hence my interest. I happenedupon his grave when visting Tyne Cot last year, quite an moving experience. Once again many thanks regards John
