BillyH Posted 25 October , 2022 Share Posted 25 October , 2022 This has probably been discussed before, but I know of two or three instances (burials in the U.K.) where a family member, or members, have later been buried in the same plot as a casualty. In two of the cases a kerb has been placed around the grave and the names of family added on the kerb. So my question is whether or not this was officially allowed by CWGC? There is nothing much they could do if several years after the war a soldiers widowed mother wanted to be buried in the same plot. Just curious to know what the official line on this would be. squirrel Posted 25 October , 2022 Share Posted 25 October , 2022 Depends on who owns the grave. The family may have purchased the plot for a number of burials.
Admin DavidOwen Posted 25 October , 2022 Admin Share Posted 25 October , 2022 Here is an example of a relative of mine. CWGC acknowledges it is a private grave site
