Could anyone kindly help me with a look-up from the Leeds volume of the National Roll please? The man is:

Percy Walter Smale

probably of 14 Sholebroke Avenue, Leeds

He's not listed. (no-one with the surname "Smale", though there are several "Smales", but none called Percy Walter or even Percy).

The only thing i can add to Dave's post is that the address, the Sholebroke's, is in the district of Chapeltown, Leeds. He also doesn't figure on the Absent Voters List.

Thankyou very much, Chris and Dave.

He was an organist and composer. I came across him in a 1917 Leeds organ recital programme the other day, where two works of his were played while he was on service as a cadet. It mentioned that he was a master at Potternewton.
