Done - Thanks Michelle.

A family footnote.
------------------
Pte 15001 Walter ALLAN and Pte 16988 James BRUCE, both of 6th KOSBs entered France on 10 Jul 1915.

Pte James BRUCE married Pte ALLAN's sister, Jane Allister ALLAN, on 8 Dec 1915.

Pte Walter ALLAN Died of Wounds on 24 Mar 1918, age 28.
Pte James BRUCE was KIA on 18 Aug 1918, age 32.

Pte James BRUCE was a cousin of Pte S/7489 Robert BULLOCH, 2nd Bn Seaforth Highlanders. Their mothers were sisters.

Pte Robert BULLOCH was KIA on 3 Nov 1915, age 18.

The attached photo shows Jane Allister ALLAN or BRUCE with her daughter Elizabeth BRUCE.
Jane lost her brother, then her husband 5 months later.

Walter ALLAN and James BRUCE are listed on my local War Memorial almost together. Robert BULLOCH is listed on another panel.

I feel that these circumstances underline the 'unknown' effects of war and the personal tragedies of Jane ALLAN or BRUCE.

Kindest Regards,
Tom.
