peregrinvs Posted 24 September , 2022 Share Posted 24 September , 2022 Canadian manufactured MkII 18 Pounder cartridge case. Inspected and passed on 10th June 1916. Reloaded in the UK by ‘ERY’ - one of the railway companies. Has a March 1917 dated primer. There are various other manufacturing and testing markings such as A in a circle meaning Annealed. The engravings on the exterior were probably put there post-WWI in France or Belgium to turn it into a battlefield tourist souvenir.
