Skipman Posted 14 September , 2022 Share Posted 14 September , 2022 Am researching a Lieutenant of the RFA wounded on the 3rd of February 1917 in Mesopotamia. At the time he was wounded he was a forward observation officer attached to the 55th Brigade. H.Q. Staff. Which diary/diaries should I look at and are they available online? charlie962 Posted 14 September , 2022 Share Posted 14 September , 2022 (edited) Mike, have a play by refining this search. War diaries for mespot can still be downloaded for free. Do you mean 55BdeRFA or 55 Indian Bde etc https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=Wo95+mesopotamia+55+brigade&_sd=&_ed=&_hb= Charlie Edited 14 September , 2022 by charlie962
Skipman Posted 14 September , 2022 Author Share Posted 14 September , 2022 (edited) Thanks charlie962 This "Do you mean 55BdeRFA or 55 Indian Bde" concentrated my mind. I now have the diary link below and it mentions his name. There are also co-ordinates mentioned so I may be posting on Mespot co-ordinates ere long. charlie962 Posted 14 September , 2022 Share Posted 14 September , 2022 I note that an unnamed ORB was wounded with him. Perhaps both together in same OP?
