I'd love to see such a list as well because I think this was where my Grandfather was captured, Pte Micheál Connors, 2nd Bt Connaught Rangers. He was imprisoned in Geissen.

Hi Guys,

I am going to the Suffolk Records Office this week on a family history day , if I get time I will see if they have any records of POW's amongst the Suffolk Reg records.

The Suffolks seem to have picked up a number of waifs and strays at Le Cateau. I have medals for a man from 1 Bn Dorset Regt who is specifically mentioned as being with a party of 2 Officers and 31 men of the Dorsets who attached themselves to the Suffolks for the action at Le Cateau and saw a deal more action than the rest of their own Bn. He was also taken POW at Le Cateau.

Regards

Steve
