Captain (Surgeon) Thomas Bonnar Garvie

I would appreciate any assistance with information/photos of No. 1 General Hospital, Wynberg, Cape Town. During the Great War Captain Garvie served from about 1917 until 1919 and it is this fellow that I am researching. As was (I think) peculiar to South Africa; he was awarded only the British War Medal for his services, having never left the borders of the country and having not been deployed operationally.

Very little seems to have been written about hospitals in South Africa during WWI.
