1058 Gunner Anton Frederick Ebeling. There is a surviving service record for him.

Yes certainly him.  He was actually born in Glasgow in 1896. Enlisted in MMGS (in Glasgow) 28/4/1915 and transferred to MGC 1/12/1915. He went to France 6/2/1916 but returned to UK 26/2/1916 wounded. It's not stated on his record which MMG battery he served with but likely 18th,19th or 24th MMGs all embarked together on that date. He then served in the UK probably after recovering and then sent to Mesopotamia 17th July 1917 arriving a month later. He caught Malaria almost as soon as he arrived and spent more than three weeks in hospital. Once recovered he was posted to 15th L.A.M.B 23/9/1917 then joined them in Baghdad 17/10/1917.

Checking the war diaries for those three batteries and they are quite clear and would record any casualties in the first month. 19th MMG has an entry on 16th February noting a shell fell among their machines at billet destroying one, damaging five others and wounding one man - so probably him.

Regarding the album - that's a lot of money. Of the 24 images posted (half the album) most are tourist photos and only a couple pertaining to the unit or armoured cars. Also no named people.
