Remembered Today:

Anyone know the origin of this book illustration?  It was loosely inserted in an unrelated secondhand WW1 Title.  It is approx 8"x 5-1/4" and oddly shows no signs of ever having been 'tipped in' or attached to a page.  As can be seen it is a panoramic view of 'The Battle of Neuve Chapelle'.  Just curious....

Many thanks, obviously the example I have is much reduced in size, which makes it difficult to read the lettering.

EDWARD1,

Very many thanks, have been squinting at it through a loupe.  Your tagging makes things much clearer.

Regards,

Mike.

This map is from the March 1915 WD of 8 Div HQ GS which might help.

14 is Layes brook and 15 is Aubers. Probably the joys of auto correct……
