seaJane Posted 16 July , 2022 Share Posted 16 July , 2022 (edited) Thanks to having recently become a member of https://www.friendsofmillbank.org , today I had the pleasure of a talk on and a tour round the Museum of Military Medicine. There is a fairly large Great War section and I do strongly recommend GWF Pals in the area, or within day-trip visit, to get there at the earliest opportunity, as our outing was on the back of the announcement that "[t]he Museum will move to Cardiff in two years and will start packing up next year." We ate at the nearby Kingfisher on the Quay,* which I heartily recommend, and there had the additional pleasure of meeting @Sepoy for the first time after years of online communication. *For those preferring tea-and-a-biscuit, the Basingstoke Canal Visitor Centre is also nearby.
