familyhistoryman Posted 8 July , 2022 Share Posted 8 July , 2022 Hi Can anyone identify this badge. I don’t know if it related to WW1 Regards, Tony
RNCVR Posted 8 July , 2022 Share Posted 8 July , 2022 (edited) It appears to be the sign of Victoria Patricia (VP), daughter of Duke of Connaught, 3rd son of Queen Victoria. Victoria was Hon Colonel of the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry (PPCLI) from 1WW until her death in 1974. Edited 8 July , 2022 by RNCVR
travers61 Posted 8 July , 2022 Share Posted 8 July , 2022 This is the badge of the Duke Of Edinburgh's Award Scheme for Young People & Young adults, started in 1956. Awarded in Bronze, Silver & Gold, this looks like a bronze award. It was developed from the Moray Badge established in 1936. The badge features a dukes coronet, but I have not been able to find the origin of the cypher on the badge. https://www.dofe.org/do/awardachievement/
