Alan_J Posted 23 March , 2005 Share Posted 23 March , 2005 I visited this cemetery about two weeks ago, and it appeared that the front wall was being braced from within the cemetery by planking. Does anyone have any idea what is happening, or why this is? Thanks Alan
KONDOA Posted 23 March , 2005 Share Posted 23 March , 2005 The obvious answer is that the wall is falling down. However the likely reasons are : Dry summers and wet winters undermining the foundation through ground movement. Flanders clays crack when dry and then swell and move when wet again.
