I've just noticed the SNWM database (for both wars) is now searchable on Ancestry.

This is good news for those searching for casualties by birthplace, regiment or place of death. Cause of death too is an option.

SNWM lists 147,903 for the great war, this includes duplicates for those recorded in more than one regiment unfortunately.

For example I was able, for the first time, to find all those with a birthplace of Arbroath & St Vigeans, 418 & 34 respectively.

Derek.
