Derek Black Posted 13 June , 2022 Share Posted 13 June , 2022 (edited) I've just noticed the SNWM database (for both wars) is now searchable on Ancestry. This is good news for those searching for casualties by birthplace, regiment or place of death. Cause of death too is an option. SNWM lists 147,903 for the great war, this includes duplicates for those recorded in more than one regiment unfortunately. For example I was able, for the first time, to find all those with a birthplace of Arbroath & St Vigeans, 418 & 34 respectively. Derek. Rockford Posted 13 June , 2022 Share Posted 13 June , 2022 This is very helpful and thanks for highlighting it. The search page on Ancestry is here https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/70908/ It will certainly be useful to be able to search for wider groups, rather than individual names. Best wishes Brian
