I'm not sure whether you have seen The London Gazette listing but doesn't contain any information like an MC might do. William's is at https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/31430/supplement/8339 This is a very useful article from the Long Long Trail regarding the Military Medal and the fact that very little detail is recorded about why one was awarded https://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/research-award-military-medal-mm/ The 6th Battery, 2nd Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery. War Diary which if available through the Canadian archives may possibly make mention of the award or of course, local newspaper archives from William's home town. Gunner 87 Posted 9 June , 2022 Share Posted 9 June , 2022 (edited) Sue, I have found this book about the 6th Battery https://www.canadiana.ca/view/oocihm.9_08506/1 It lists W. M. Chisholm, number 123 in the key bio the photograph, as winning his MM in October 1918. I attach the key and the image itself where William can be made out.
