Hello All,

Recently found a British Red Cross Medal pinned to an old bit of card which had the following scrawled on it.... “Janet... something or other”??  Would love to know the full name!  Anybody?0674D264-ABCA-455C-8CA2-58AEB74F252F.jpeg.e60e4e79bef37d2ab8b04a3f3190308b.jpeg

Seems plausible.  Ran through the BRC WWI database but couldn’t find anything closely resembling.  Sure wish they had used a typewriter...

Inclined to think you're right - I've seen many capital Ds with that formation in the early 20th century.

If so, FreeBMD has Janet Dundas Allen born 21 January 1897, died in Wantage in the June quarter of 1975.

@royalredcross may have more information.

at first I had to close one eye and squint with the other to see it, but the more I look at it the more it seems to fit!  Nice work Steve!
