OC Division requesting copies of orders given by COs of attacking battalions? Was it unusual?

Following the attack of 153 Brigade on 23/24 April 1917. The OC 51 Division requested copies of the orders given by the COs of all battalions involved. Was this normal or did it imply that something was wrong? (According to Falls, the Corps commander had some misgivings about the attack.)
